Encourage your friends to share our post in order to keep the conversation going about the different ways we can show our support, whether that’s sending galleons for good or simply reminding your community that there’s still work to be done. Staffer of the Week: Mindy Rice!

Mindy Rice is a Ravenclaw and DMCC team member living in Los Angeles, CA with her wife (and fellow HPA volunteer) Amy! Together they are co-chapter organizers of the Los Angeles Auror Brigade. Mindy is passionate about women’s rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, and environmental and wildlife issues; in college, she worked for Clean Water Action for a summer canvassing neighborhoods in order to protect Texas waterways and water supplies. Thank you for all you do, Mindy!

And now, for the funsies:

• Fave HP book and why? (or favorite book of all time) My favorite HP book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows because there is so much emotion in it and the stakes are so high. I also think that the chapter “The Forest Again” is the most beautiful and heart-wrenching chapter I’ve ever read in any book. Secondly, my all-time favorite book is Peter Pan/Peter & Wendy.
• Last show you binge watched? The last two shows I binge-watched were The Mandalorian and His Dark Materials. (I also did one of my full rewatches of Band of Brothers).
• Favorite class you’ve ever taken in school? Band and Orchestra, of course! (Says the life-long band nerd)
